This is the third film in The Collector film series. Follow up to The Collection (2012) by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton.

1922年，一个四口带着捡来的女孩喜鹊逃荒流亡到铁路线上的一个城市。6年时间过去，大儿子梁承文与父亲到外国资本家开办的机械厂里做工，母亲帮人洗衣缝补，一家人勉强糊口。承文在党员老邓的培养下加入了共产党，领导工人开展革命运动。父亲在生日这天因劳累过度不幸被烧死，母亲由此更加领悟革命的真理，积极帮党做事，并光荣入党。
